I love this flower. I planter mine last year in a raised planter. It came back this spring and is more beautiful than last year. I would recommend to anyone who loves flowers

Features
Superbena Royale verbenas are vigorous and mounded, but will trail over the sides of containers as a trailing verbena plant and spiller plants for containers. They will function as both spillers and fillers in combination planters and are best planted at the front of landscape beds. Flower and umbel size are typical for verbena. They will bloom earlier in the season and are more easily produceable in smaller containers than regular Superbena varieties, making them ideal as verbena for hanging baskets.

Maintenance Notes:Superbena® verbena plants are easy to grow and will flower non-stop from planting to frost if simple maintenance tasks are performed. Growing Superbena in full sun to part sun is important for their strong growth and bloom performance. They do not require deadheading, meaning the removal of spent flowers, to stay in bloom all season.
These heat tolerant annuals typically require a bit less water and feeding than many kinds of flowering annuals. If your garden soil is very heavy and tends to stay soggy for a while after it rains, plant your Superbena verbena in a container instead of in the ground. Let the soil dry out a little bit between waterings, but do not let the plants wilt severely before watering again.
Superbena performs best when fed with Proven Winners plant foods. At planting time, in containers and landscapes, mix Proven Winners Premium Continuous Release Plant Food into the soil, following the rates specified on the packaging. In containers, reapply halfway through the growing season. In the ground, a single application in spring is typically sufficient.
Additionally, Superbena verbena should be fed with Proven Winners Premium Water Soluble Plant Food every ten days to two weeks according to the rates specified on the packaging.
Superbena does not require much trimming to keep it looking great all season. If you’d like your plants to have a fuller, bushier shape, trim up to 20% off the ends of the stems midseason. Follow up by feeding them with water soluble plant food to promote fresh new growth and blooms.

Third time growing but first time by itself in a rectangular planter. This plant has spread the entire 20 inches of the planter plus 4 more all around as it trails nicely outside the box. Ultimately it is a sea of intense deep pink/melon color with literally hundreds of bright flowers when in full bloom. I have noticed 2x this season for about a week each time there were almost no flowers. The plant remained strong and came back with even more blooms. Only minor trims are needed and that is more to "dead head" than anything else. While I do fertilize all of my plants I think verbena would do almost as well with just water and good soil. Only caveat which can happen anywhere...Japanese beetles have clustered on the plant a couple of times but seem to have backed off. Aphids don't seem interested. Highly recommend for the color, durability, low maintenance and longevity.
